| Description: | Hi Everyone, Happy to share a new device with you - JB Auto-Sampler is a Max for Live device for Ableton Live that will help to automate the creation of multi-sample Sampler instruments from any VST or external sound source. I've always loved the auto-sampler functionality of Native Instruments Maschine, and wished that Ableton Live had a similar device so I could create presets for my Push 3 stand-alone! This device will allow you to sample your favourite synths or external gear and create a portable Sampler instrument. This opens up lots of exciting ways to manipulate the sounds, and saves CPU usage for some heavy synths. Auto-Sampler will play through a range of notes and velocities and capture the output. Each recorded note will be correctly named and processed, and an Ableton Sampler preset (.adv) will be created with the samples correctly organised around key and velocity zones. Point it at a hardware synth, a VST, or an entire effects chain, press start, and the new samples and Sampler instrument appears in your User Library. The device is in two parts - a Midi device (JB Auto-Sampler) and an audio capture device (JB Capture). Place them both on the same track, and any instrument/effects in between them. Auto-Sampler will record each sample and correctly write the sample WAV files "smpl" header chunk containing its MIDI root key, so the sample files can be used for any other sampler format.
